Match Report – Williams FC

26th Septemberber 2005, 8.35pm: Hi There United vs Williams FC (Trojans, pitch 2)

Hi There United's winning form continued tonight. A full strength team won 3-1 looking like well tuned Ferrari's against Williams FC. Pete Lambert's brace (one being from the half way line) inspired Hi There in a game where Gary Taylor also scored in his last game of the season. Defensively Tom O'Toole and Matt Payne were rocks at the back.

Match Preview - Williams FC (26th September 2005)

5-Aside League @ Trojans

Tonight Hi There are planning on 'robbin' Williams FC of three points in the fifth Monday night 5-a-side league match up of the season (KickOff 8.35pm, Pitch2). Currently Willams sit fourth in the table, with a total of seven points. After last weeks memorable performance against Task Castle FC, top goal scorer Gary Taylor was presented with a comemorative sandel for a hammering a hat-trick in a friendly then five in one game, in successive weeks. Well done Gary.

Team News: Last weeks returning goal scoring hero Pete Lambert is looking to start for tonights clash after persistent injuries having cleared up. After a "Hollywood save" Matt Payne is set to continue in goal, meaning a starting line up from (positions TBC):
Gary Taylor
Stuart Meredith
Greg Nolan
James Mason
Oli Gunnar Knight
Matt Payne
Tom O'Toole
Pete Lambert

Any supporters travelling to the game should be advised to arrive promptly and sing their hearts out. Tonights game is special match, in it being fan favourite Gary Taylor's last match for the club before a loan spell at New Zealand based Wellington Olympic. Everyone will be glad to know Gary is due to return within 3 months.

Good Luck for the game,

C'mon United.
Bye Now.

Match Preview - Task Castle FC (19th September 2005)

5-Aside League @ Trojans
Tonight Hi There are hoping to lay siege to opponents Task Castle FC in the fourth Monday night 5-a-side league match up of the season (KickOff 7.55pm, Pitch1). Currently Task Castle sit second in the league, one place below Hi There (with a two point gap). After last weeks performance against AS Acini di Calcio we should find ourselves with a tougher game, but with spirits high, this crunch game should be a tantilising proposition for the spectator.

Team News: Long term absentee Pete Lambert (attempting to emulate his idol) is out for tonights clash with a back complaint. After a shining return to form and fitness last week, Stu Meredith continues tonight, meaning a starting line up from (positions TBC):
Gary Taylor
Stuart Meredith
Greg Nolan
James Mason
Oli Gunnar Knight
Matt Payne
Tom O'Toole

Any supporters travelling to the game should be advised to arrive promptly and sing their hearts out. Tonights special match sponsor is shEAR Passion.
Good Luck for the game, C'mon United.
Bye Now.

Match Report - AS Asini di Calcio

12th September 2005, 7.15pm: Hi There United vs AS Asini di Calcio (Trojans, pitch 1)

The team arrived early for an earlier kick-off against the unknown opponents of AS Asini di Calcio, to find themselves with two subs. With England having just reclaimed the Ashes after sixteen years the team were in a bouyant mood (this was to be reflected on the pitch). With Tom O'Toole making his debut, the luxury of two subs gave us a starting line up of:
GK - Matt Payne
DF – Stu Meredith
MF - James Mason
MF - Greg Nolan
ST - Gary Taylor
Subs (rolling): Oli Gunnar Knight, Tom O’Toole

Match Result: Hi There 14 (F-O-U-R-T-E-E-N) – Asini di Calcio 0

This means another valuable 3 points for Hi There and fourteen goals to the good for the goal difference, leaving Hi There at the summit of the league by 2pts (after 3 games with a 100% record). The fourteen goals were scored by Gary Talor (5*), James Mason (4), Stu Meredith (2), Greg Nolan (2) and Tom O’Toole (1).

Match Preview - AS Asini di Calcio (12th September 2005)

5-Aside League @ Trojans

Tonight Hi There are up against unknown opponents in AS Asini di Calcio in the third Monday night 5-a-side league match up of the season (KickOff 7.15pm, Pitch1). Interestingly if you go to http://www.freetranslation.com/ and put in "Asini di Calcio" into the Italian to English translator the literal translation is "Asses of Soccer", which kind of ties up with their bottom of the league placing!
Team News: Worryingly Pete Lambert has suffered a reoccurence of his slight girlfriend related injury, meaning he misses the match for his second week. After a return to fitness Stu Meredith has been confirmed to play tonight, with Tom O'Toole doubtful meaning a starting line up from (positions TBC):
Gary Taylor
Stuart Meredith
Greg Nolan
James Mason
Oli Knight
Matt Payne
Tom O'Toole

Any supporters travelling to the game should be advised to arrive promptly and sing their hearts out. First supporter to quote the codeword "lambo" at the match wins a signed Pete Lambert photo. Good Luck for the game,

C'mon United.
Bye Now.

Match Report - Aero FC

5th September 2005, 9.55pm: Hi There United vs Aero FC (Trojans, pitch 4)

The team arrived early for a late kick-off against the unknown opponents of Aero FC, to find themselves a man down. A late fitness test had revealed Tom O'Toole to have a slight back strain and unable to attend the game. Added to our initial injury woes, this forced a starting line up of:
GK - Matt Payne
DF - Oli Gunnar Knight
MF - James Mason
MF - Greg Nolan

ST - Gary Taylor
After ten minutes waiting to go on pitch we received news Aero FC were unable to field a team.
This meant an automatic 3 points for Hi There (strangely with no goals awarded). This leaves Hi There sitting top of the league by 2pts after 2 games with a 100% record.

A friendly was arranged with as yet an unknown name, which was a competitive affair. With no subs Hi There performed well to be on the losing side of a 6-5 result against a team in a higher division. The five goals were scored by Gary Talor (3*), Greg Nolan (1) and James Mason (1).

Peter Lambert and Stu Meredith both have slight girlfriend related injuries, with the latter also reportedly having a slight ankle problem (Injury). After a slight doubt Oli Knight has been confirmed to play along with new signing Tom O'Toole, meaning a starting line up from (positions TBC):
